Cape Reinga blog

Welcome to capereinga.co.nz!

Thank you for checking out capereinga.co.nz.  Although the base website is still under development, blog.capereinga.co.nz - the site's blog page - is already fully functional.

As of January 2007, Cape Reinga is waiting to receive World Heritage Site status.  The Cape is long established as a favourite tourist attraction, with well in excess of 100,000 visitors a year, and around 1,500 vehicles arriving each day during peak season.  Little wonder, then, that in May 2007 central Government announced that $6 million was to be spent on extensive upgrades to visitor facilities.  This work is now largely completed.

The purpose of capereinga.co.nz is to further promote the Cape, and to provide visitors with suggestions on accommodation, tours, attractions and so on.  For instance, were you aware that Cape Reinga boasts one of New Zealand's most strikingly beautiful walkways?

Whether you are a local or a visitor to this country, if your plans are to explore New Zealand from end to end, why not consider Cape Reinga as the perfect start or end point of your journey?  Oh, and capereinga.co.nz would love to hear from you - questions, suggestions or experiences.  Your comments are welcome on any blog entry.

Again, thank you for visiting capereinga.co.nz.   Do call back soon!

Your host,

Christopher Dodunski.
